The next two days whisked by in a heartbeat, and today was the day they would embark on their journey to Delhi by the evening flight. Soumya maintained her usual demeanor, or at least she did in front of her parents; yet, a persistent thought danced in her mind—tomorrow, she would meet them, her potential in-laws and before the waves of overthinking could engulf her, she would brush the thought aside.
Her bags were already packed, and now she laid flat on her bed, seeking solace for her body and mind. However, an unwelcome companion of anxiety accompanied her: the prospect of long-distance travel. Just the notion of it made her head spin, filling her with trepidation. During the entire journey, she would be enveloped in silence, and avoid eating.
